Christchurch carnival is an incredible event to be a part of and its success is entirely down to the team of incredible volunteers who make the magic happen each year.
Whether you have a spare couple of hours or are free for a whole day, there are loads of great opportunities to get involved across the weekend.
Saturday 15th August
Activities and entertainment on the Quay all day with the headline act on the main stage at 8pm, followed by the fireworks display over the water at 9:30pm.
10am – 11pm (Shifts can range from 1hr to all day)
- Selling raffle tickets from the information tent
- Litter picking
- Fundraising
- Photographer / videographer
Approx. 10am – 4pm
- Character costume wearers and chaperones
Sunday 16th August
Entertainment on the Quay and carnival parade through the town.
On Christchurch Quay 10am – 5pm (Shifts can range from 1hr to all day):
- Selling raffle tickets from the information tent
- Litter picking
- Fundraising
- Photographer / videographer
On parade route:
- 12pm – 4pm – Marshalling at road closure points along the parade route
- 2pm – 4pm – Marshalling the vehicles onto the Quay at the finish of the parade and into position
